INNERVISION offers a wide variety of services designed to improve the employability of individuals with disabilities. This includes developing both soft and hard skills, computer and academic skills, as well as skills for specific vocations. Additional resources are available – such as coaching for people with disabilities to encourage self-advocacy – to address any issues that interfere with individual goals or the ability to perform specific job duties.
Our Project HireMe is a supported employment program designed to connect people with disabilities to integrated employment opportunities in their community. The program assists adults with disabilities in finding and maintaining competitive employment.
Project HireMe's Adult Internship program is Monday through Thursday. Participants begin and end their day in the classroom at a host site. They spend the balance of their time participating in three unpaid internships of their choice, each lasting up to 10-weeks or more, depending on the business needs.
In this program, participants will learn employable skills, job readiness, soft skills, and on-the-job training with one of our community partners.
EMPLOYING PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
EMPLOY PASSIONATE EMPLOYEES
INNERVISION assists employers in understanding the benefits of hiring people with disabilities. As part of this process, we help the employers apply for the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) or On-the-job training, if applicable.
We provide disability-awareness training, as needed, to supervisors and staff who will work with these employees, as well as share job coaching, either on or off-site, as needed or desired, for either the employer or the employee.
The unemployment rate for people with disabilities is far higher than it is for people without disabilities, and the job market is competitive. We are passionate to teach employers the benefits of hiring people with disabilities, including having workers who are well-trained, loyal, reliable, and consistent.
